Our Story The International Education Mozambique (IEM) Foundation is a Netherlands-based nonprofit organization founded to support and strengthen quality English education throughout Mozambique. It operates through the Stella Maris International Schools (SMIS), a private co-educational institution founded in 1988 that educates people of all races. SMIS provides an internationally focused education using English as the medium of instruction across four campuses including Beira, Nacala, Nampula, and Quelimane.
