Our Story Founded in 1989 under the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Al-Iraqia University is a comprehensive public university headquartered in the historic Al-Adhamiyah district of Baghdad. It operates ten faculties spanning medicine, dentistry, engineering, law, administration, economics, education, media, arts, and Islamic sciences. The university hosts over 23,300 students and maintains an international outlook, welcoming students from more than 45 Arab and Islamic nations.
