Our Story Founded in 1913, the Workers' Educational Association of South Australia Incorporated is Australia's largest non-government adult community education organisation. Operating independently and funded almost entirely by student fees, WEA delivers moderately priced, flexible learning opportunities for lifelong learners. Each year, the organisation welcomes approximately 17,000 enrolments across nearly 1,200 short courses. It publishes five seasonal Course Guides annually and updates its website daily to reflect the latest offerings. Delivery spans more than 30 metropolitan Adelaide locations, with a significant concentration at the central Angas Street campus. Courses are moderately priced and scheduled across five annual intake periods. For organisations, WEA designs bespoke training sessions adapted to specific workplace or group needs at competitive rates. Facilities & Practical Info The flagship WEA Centre at 223 Angas Street, Adelaide features 18 multi-purpose classrooms equipped with full audio-visual technology and limited off-street parking. In addition to the city hub, WEA conducts programmes at over 30 locations across metropolitan Adelaide. The organisation also hires out its conference and training rooms to external commercial and community groups. Customised training can be delivered on-site at client premises provided suitable facilities exist.
