Cookie Policy
Which trackers we set, why, for how long, and how to change your mind at any time.
In force since 10 August 2026·Version 2026-08-10
This policy describes the cookies and similar technologies used on eracoach.com, operated by Agile Smart. It supplements our privacy policy, which covers all processing of personal data.
In one sentence
We set only the cookies the site needs to work. Analytics cookies are neither set nor even loaded until you say yes, and a refusal is as easy to withdraw as it is to give.
1. Purpose and scope
A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a website. Depending on the case, it lets us recognise you from one page to the next, secure your session, or measure how the site is used.
This policy covers cookies in the strict sense as well as equivalent technologies that read from or write to your device: local storage (localStorage, sessionStorage) and pixels. The legal regime is the same: Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act (implementing the ePrivacy Directive) for visitors in the European Union, and Quebec’s Law 25.
2. Our principle: nothing before your choice
Until you have made a choice, no analytics script is loaded at all. This is stricter than common practice: many sites load the measurement script and merely configure it not to write a cookie. We do not insert the script, so no request is made to Google and your IP address is not disclosed to it.
Refusing is as easy as accepting. The banner presents both actions side by side, at the same size and the same level, and a “Customise my choices” button allows purpose-by-purpose control. Continuing to browse or closing the banner does not amount to acceptance.
We keep timestamped proof of your choice (date, categories accepted or refused, version of this policy), as required by Article 7(1) GDPR. That proof is kept for 3 years from the date of the choice, then deleted.
6. How long your choice lasts, and how to withdraw it
- Duration: your choice is kept for 6 months. After that, we ask again.
- Withdrawal: the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page reopens the panel and lets you change your mind at any time, in either direction.
- New trackers: if we add a purpose, your earlier consent lapses and the question is put to you again. It is never extended by default.
- Effect of withdrawal: withdrawal operates for the future. It does not affect the lawfulness of measurement carried out beforehand, but it stops any new collection immediately.
8. Recipients and transfers outside Canada and the European Union
The site and its database are hosted with Hetzner Online GmbH, in Nuremberg, Germany (European Union). The cookies described above additionally involve the following providers, some of which are established in the United States:
| Provider | Role | Country | Transfer safeguard |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Content delivery network, abuse protection | United States | European Commission standard contractual clauses |
| Google Ireland Ltd. | Analytics (Google Analytics 4) | Ireland, with transfers to the United States | EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses |
| Stripe, Inc. / Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. | Payment and fraud prevention | Ireland and United States | EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses |
The full list of our processors, beyond cookies alone, is set out in the privacy policy.
9. Your rights and who to contact
You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection and portability over data collected through these cookies. To exercise them, write to [email protected] or use our contact form. Full details are in the privacy policy.
If you believe your rights are not being respected, you may complain to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec or, if you live in the European Union, to the supervisory authority of your country of residence, in France, the CNIL (cnil.fr).
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may change as our tools change. Any substantive change (a new purpose or a new tracker) triggers a fresh consent request. Minor changes are signalled by updating the effective date and version number at the top of this page.
