About

Our Story Aswar Academy for Training and Development is an educational initiative founded in 2017 with support and funding from Aswar Group. It aims to bridge the gap between academic education and labor market requirements in Iraq by partnering with public and private institutions. Its vision is to be the leading national platform for preparing a technical generation capable of leading digital transformation and achieving sustainable development. The academy is registered with BICSI, the UN Global Compact, Pearson Vue, and the Royal College of Physician, and holds advisory board memberships in more than 16 universities. Since its establishment, the academy has served over 8,000 students, placed more than 1,000 interns, sponsored over 200 initiatives, and signed over 30 memorandums of understanding with private sector employers. Programs & Trainings 🎓 Fiber Optic Course — Comprehensive technical curriculum covering fiber optic operation and types, principles of light, fiber characteristics and safety, cables and connectors, splicing and termination methods, light sources and detectors, installation and testing devices, and practical hands-on sessions using modern splicing and testing equipment; includes an overview of FTTX systems and related quality standards. 🎓 CCTV 100 — Foundational surveillance systems course exploring the evolution of cameras, benefits, and usage environments; covers main components, functionality, essential modern features, camera types by signal type, physical design, and connection methods; introduces DVR and NVR recording devices, smart features, and AI technologies integrated into cameras and recorders; concludes with a practical session on setting up and connecting a complete CCTV system. 🎓 Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) — Entry-level cloud computing course designed for beginners with no prior experience; covers cloud models including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, deployment types, and core Azure services in compute, networking, storage, security, and resource management; prepares participants for the AZ-900 certification exam. 🎓 MSNAC 2.37 — Morrell Switching and Network Architecture Certification (Level 1), internationally accredited and offered in collaboration with Morrellcom and BICSI; delivers theoretical and hands-on networking skills including the OSI model, Physical and Datalink layers, Morrell Switch types and command-line usage, lab-based network connection setup, electronic interface configuration, VLAN, Spanning Tree, IP addressing, subnetting, Transport Layer port management, and troubleshooting techniques. 🎓 The Beginning Program — Free foundational initiative that trained over 100 participants in programming basics, logical thinking, and digital skills; serves as a launchpad for broader technical programs and project workshops. 🎓 Your First Step Program — Comprehensive free training program that prepared more than 1,000 young men and women for the labor market, supported by over 30 memorandums of understanding with private sector companies committed to hiring top graduates. 🎓 Free Training Courses — Four main technical tracks offered at no cost since establishment: CCTV Systems, Fiber Optic Infrastructure (FOI), Renewable and Alternative Energy, and Computer Networks (MSNAC); over 3,730 participants trained across these disciplines. 🎓 Advanced Women's Guide Program — Empowerment initiative developed in cooperation with the Iraqi Prime Minister's Office; 450 women enrolled and 350 successfully completed, qualifying them for job market entry and entrepreneurial opportunities. 🎓 Summer Training Program — Conducted under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research; trained over 704 students from 32 Iraqi universities in alternative energy, networking, fiber optics, CCTV systems, and administrative skills through in-university training, field visits, and final projects executed by Aswar Group. 🎓 Hackathon Support – HurryApp — Official sponsorship of Iraq's largest programming hackathon, providing technical and logistical support; the initiative received over 1,000 applications and selected 144 programmers to develop smart solutions in IoT and smart home technologies. 🎓 University Training Workshops — Specialized on-campus and online workshops delivered in collaboration with Iraqi universities, including Networks (MSNAC), Surveillance Cameras (CCTV), Fiber Optics (FOI - ETA), Smart Systems (Camscan), and Solar System (Power) workshops held at institutions such as the University of Technology, Gilgamesh University, Al-Mustansiriya University, and Middle Technical University. 🎓 Professional Business Banner Designs — Practical course led by trainer Yousif Hazem focused on the design of professional business banners.
