Our Story
Georgia State University is an enterprising public research institution founded in 1913 and located in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia. It enrolls one of the most diverse student bodies in the nation with more than 53,000 students representing 155 countries and all 50 U.S. states. Designated as an R1 research university for three decades, it is recognized as a national model for student success and innovation.
