Our Story Metis Utdanning (MU) is a private Norwegian education conglomerate established in 2004. The name derives from the Greek Μῆτις, meaning "wisdom" and "skill." The group owns and operates private candidate schools (privatistskoler) in Oslo, Bergen, and Stavanger, as well as two upper secondary day schools in Bergen: Metis videregående and Bergen Private Gymnas.
