About
Osnovna škola Kreativan razvoj is a private primary school in Zagreb, Croatia, founded on October 4, 1995, as the first private primary school in Zagreb. Starting with only three students, it has grown to accommodate 160-200 students and includes its own kindergarten. In 2003, Privatna gimnazija Dr. Časl was established as a continuation of education for its students. The school expanded further in 2013 by opening the British International School of Zagreb (BISZ), which follows the British National Curriculum and was recognized as one of the eight most innovative schools worldwide in 2018. In 2019, the school completed a dormitory building, the Boarding School. The school emphasizes safety, with 24-hour electronic and physical security, and has maintained a record free of violence, abuse, or addiction over its 24-year history. Students wear uniforms to protect against consumerism and participate in small-group classes, all-day lessons, and a variety of elective subjects, sports training, and meals. The school has introduced several innovations in Croatian education, such as all-day classes, English from first grade, a second foreign language from second grade, computer science, drama, and daily physical education.
