Our Story Miras International School in Astana was founded in 1999 as the first international school in Kazakhstan authorized for all levels of the International Baccalaureate (IB). Operated as a branch of the Nursultan Nazarbayev Educational Foundation (NNEF), the school has built a reputation as a calm, secure, and welcoming environment where every student is regarded as an individual regardless of age. Its mission focuses on balanced development and strong academic outcomes, backed by a faculty of highly qualified teachers from more than 10 countries. Programs & Trainings IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) / Early Childhood & Elementary School, For children aged 2 to 10-11 years, integrating IB PYP with Kazakhstani standards. Includes kindergarten (ages 3-5), pre-school (ages 5-6), and primary classes (ages 6-10) with Russian-English or Kazakh-English language tracks.
