JEMA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (JIT) is a college owned by JEMA AFRICA LIMITED, established in June 2013 in Dar es Salaam and registered under The Company Act 2002. The parent company currently operates gold processing plants (VAT Leaching Plants), Elution Plants in Geita and Kahama, and gold processing chemicals shop stores at Mwanza, Geita and Kahama. To face developmental challenges, JEMA AFRICA LIMITED has opted to operate this training institute aiming at enhancing the sphere of educational opportunities.
The institution has a vision to be a technological driven institution that aims at transforming various levels of the industry for sustainable national economic development of the country. Its mission is to improve lives by injecting technology into the daily livelihood of the community in order to upscale digital knowledge towards harnessing creativity and innovation for better tomorrow. The institute prides itself on having a local and national reputation for excellence due to the outstanding quality of teaching and support, resulting in high levels of student aspiration and achievements.
