The university has always aimed, since its inception in 1970, to establish a culture of leadership, innovation and creativity, inspired by its mission and vision. It has expanded its academic programs to meet the needs of society and the local, regional, and international job market, becoming the largest university in Yemen with 21 specialized colleges and 23 administrative and scientific centers and research institutions. In this context, the university has been committed to implementing the highest standards of academic quality and accreditation. Currently, it is striving to obtain international accreditation for its medical programs, granted by the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME), and for its engineering and computer science programs, granted by ABET. To keep pace with modern teaching methods, the university has revised its curriculum and educational programs in all its colleges and departments and centers, aligning them with society and the local, regional, and international job market. We believe in the importance of technology in higher education and strive to continuously develop the technical aspect by integrating technology into our teaching methods. We are committed to enhancing the quality of our students' learning experiences through innovative teaching strategies that foster critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. We aim to produce graduates who are not only academically competent but also socially responsible and globally aware, ready to contribute positively to their communities and society at large.
