Well-being Coach: Regaining Balance, Energy, and Serenity

Chronic fatigue that won't pass, chronic stress, feeling of running without moving forward, blurred work-life boundaries: diffuse discomfort has become common, but it is not inevitable. Well-being coaching helps to regain energy and balance through concrete and sustainable changes. This guide explains what it covers, what a well-being coach does (and doesn't do), and how to choose the right one.

What is well-being coaching?

Well-being coaching is a support oriented towards life balance: stress management, energy, sleep, lifestyle hygiene, articulation between work and personal life. It is not about treating a pathology, but about establishing sustainable habits and a healthier relationship with one's own limits. The coach starts from your real daily life to identify the levers that, when changed, produce the most effect.

Stress, fatigue, overload: recognizing the signals

Irritability, sleep disturbances, difficulty disconnecting, loss of pleasure, feeling of being 'flat' all the time: these are warning signals not to be trivialized. They often translate an imbalance between demands (load, rhythm) and resources (recovery, sense, support). Coaching helps to re-establish this balance before the situation tips into exhaustion.

What a well-being coach does (and when to see a doctor or therapist)

The well-being coach works on behaviors and organization: setting limits, reorganizing days, restoring sleep, regaining sources of energy, clarifying priorities. They do not provide a medical diagnosis and do not treat established depression or burnout: in these cases, a doctor or psychologist is indispensable, sometimes in addition to coaching once the acute phase has passed. A serious coach knows this boundary and knows how to guide.

Levers for sustainable well-being

A few levers come up systematically: protected sleep, micro-recovery during the day, clear limits (especially digital), regular physical activity even modest, and above all meaning — knowing why we do what we do. The role of the coach is not to impose a program on you, but to help you find realistic adjustments that fit into your real life.

Duration, budget, in-person or video

A well-being support often takes place over 6 to 10 sessions, at a regular pace. Prices generally range from 60 € to 130 € per session depending on the coach's experience and country, with a discovery session often offered for free. Video is particularly suitable: it reduces logistical load, which is consistent with the very objective of the support.

How to choose your well-being coach

Check for certification (ICF, EMCC or recognized school), a real specialization in stress and life balance, and clarity of the method. Beware of miracle promises and approaches that flirt with care without having the framework. On EraCoach, compare verified well-being coaches by hand, by specialty, language and reviews, and book a free discovery session.
